Since beginning Holl & Lane last year, I have asked you to share your stories, to be open and honest with us, and to allow yourselves to be vulnerable in the hopes of helping someone else. And you have. You've allowed me to share such beautiful stories- stories that have been heartbreaking and inspiring, tragic and triumphant. So in return, I want to be open and honest with you as well.
Running a magazine is expensive, very expensive, especially when the money to run it comes from one pocket. It is because of this that I am coming to you today. I'm allowing myself to be vulnerable when I admit that I've come to the point that I need help. I have big dreams for this magazine and one of them is to produce printed editions of each issue- something that you have told us that you want. But I can't do that on my own. So I'm asking for your help in getting us there. I've set up a Go Fund Me in the hopes of paying off the bills it has taken to run the magazine to this point, and hopefully set us up to begin printing copies for you. I want to continue bringing you stories, I want to continue helping people the way that we have been. The emails I receive from readers after a particular story has touched them push me to keep going, to make this happen for us all.
So if you can, I ask for your help by way of donation. No matter how big or how small, it is incredibly appreciated. Those who donate will be listed in a special section of our anniversary issue in May as a thank you. We are a magazine that runs for you and because of you- your heart, your stories. Please help us continue to do so. You can visit the Go Fund Me here: https://www.gofundme.com/hollandlanemag
Thank you for your support, thank you for allowing me to be vulnerable and honest, and thank you, most importantly, for being here.
PS- Yesterday we got the exciting opportunity to sell our magazine in a local boutique, so we'll be using the donations to produce the printed copies to do just that!
